Jim Elwing

Jim Elwing - Director of Tennis

Jim Elwing is in his tenth year as Director of Tennis at CRC. Jim has been a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association for 30 years and is a Level - 1 Professional. In 2002, Jim was honored as a Specialist in Competitive Player Development, considered the top level of coaching by the USTA. In 2004 Jim received the Fay Tooley Memorial Award, given to the Midwest tennis professional for his contribution to the tennis Industry. Jim has served as Head Coach for Team Cleveland at the past seven International Children's Games held in Hungary, Poland, Greece, England, Thailand and the United States. Jim is the Tournament Director for the Professional CRC Men's Doubles Invitational held annually in July. One of his strongest assets is his ability to teach all ages and all levels of play, from beginners to advanced tournament players.

Jerold "J.T." Tinjaca - Professional

J.T. Tinjaca bring 18 years teaching experience to our staff. He has successfully coached juniors at Midwest and National level tournaments. He has been named High School Coach of the Year three times. In addition, J.T. has won the Ohio Clay Court Doubles Championships, has coached U.S.A. Adult teams to State and National levels, is USPTA certified Pro level 2, and has coached juniors who have played, or are currently playing NCAA tennis. He is on the advisory staff for Prince racquets and K-Swiss shoes and apparel.


Chris Klampe





Christopher Klampe - Director of Junior Tennis

Christopher Klampe has been the Director of Junior Tennis at the club for two years now. He has a strong coaching background having directed programs at the Club at Hillbrook, and the Wembley Club. His playing background includes having earned the Prince All-American honor in high school, playing varsity tennis at Miami University, and playing on the 2005 5.0 USTA national championship team. Currently Chris holds a P-1 USPTA rating, is a member of the USPTR and USRSA, and is a member of the Fischer Advisory Staff. Having coached and played at these levels has given Chris the experience needed to run a first rate junior tennis program.


Tim Nieman


Tim Nieman - Professional

Tim Nieman began his teaching career 6 years ago at The Country Club before joining the staff here at CRC 2 years ago. He was a lifer at University School and lettered all four years. During those four years, US won a State championship and Tim was a two time State qualifier. He then continued his tennis career at Denison University and graduated in 2003. He looks forward to another great year here at CRC.
