Cardio Tennis
Regardless of your tennis ability or fitness level, Cardio tennis offers the ultimate, full body, calorie burning (300-600 per hour) aerobic workout. Cardio Tennis is fun, social, high intensity training for men and women both on and off the court. Improve footwork with agility ladders, strength abs and lower back with core exercises, while improving the cardiovascular system with intense tennis drills.
Plyoga
This class combines the discipline of yoga with Pilates for students whose goals are to gain strength in their shoulders, CORE and legs. The class focus is an overall flexibility and core strength with and influence on posture and correct technique. This class has restorative results, for both the athlete as well as those who have physical issues with regular participation. Any student, whether a beginner or advanced, could benefit from his class.
Senior Strength and Balance
Whether you are a veteran gym member or a novice newcomer, senior strength and balance offers an exercise class for men and women of all ages and abilities. Improve your strength, flexibility, endurance and balance through the use of dumbbells, stretch bands, exercise balls and balance discs.
Tai chi
The ancient art of Tai chi uses gentle flowing movements to reduce the stress of today's busy lifestyles and improve health. If you're looking for another way to reduce stress, consider Tai chi. Tai chi is sometimes described as "meditation in motion" because it promotes serenity through gentle movements - connecting the mind and body. Thai Chi is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching.
Yoga
Yoga classes are offered Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm. Julie Konrad, CYT, RYT, teaches a Hatha Flow class focusing on increasing strength and flexibility while calming the mind through breath control and awareness. Our classes are geared for all BODIES. The stiffer the better! Yoga will help you increase your lung capacity, expand your range of motion, relieve joint pain and muscle weakness, as well as improve your agility and balance. It’s all here! Beginners welcome. Private classes available.
Zumba
Zumba is an aerobic dance fitness class that combines Latin dancing with interval training for a full-body workout. Zumba focuses on creating a party/like workout environment; the more people who come to the party, the better! Our class combines traditional Latin dance styles, such as salsa, cha-cha, cumbia and meringue, as well as hip-hop and belly dancing moves. If you don’t know how to do these dances, our class is a perfect setting in which to learn them; we dance in a laid-back, non-judgmental environment that welcomes everyone at every fitness level. Each routine is repetitive so that you have plenty of time to watch the instructor and copy the movements. Zumba follows an interval training format, which allows you to burn calories without suffering through a constant, high impact pace. Some of the benefits you will enjoy from this class include raising your heart rate to increase cardiovascular endurance, and toning your legs and core.
